Anthony - I do have the rear bumper. I'll be taking it off on Friday and I'll get you good pictures. Do you need the bumper brackets also?

Cool. Please send me a PM on the seats and console (price, conditioin, anything else worth mentioning). I would enjoy a drive to Lancaster to pick them up. Haven't been there in a few years. Thanks.

I'll take some good pics tomorrow as I'll have them out of the truck.

The console you want is the one with the heater right?

Shifter console too?

Seats are 100.00 as they are missing one dial knob but have ALL the luxury options and are in good condition.... like mentioned earlier, they do have a tear on the drivers seat... I'll get pics.

The console is in really good condtion with console lid and all.

I welcome the visit to Lancaster and if you have a family.... let me know and I'll get some grub for a BBQ.

I'm looking to retrofit them into a 94 4x4 pu so a heater for the console doesn't matter. Just looking for some additional storage space. Looking forward to the pics.
Thanks for the BBQ offer. I'll bring my son and your choices of beverage- preferably of the fermented kind.

Will you be bringing "said" truck with you?

Is your son into hamburgers or hotdogs? I have 3 girls.... lookout!

Fermented kind is Yuengling before BUD buys them up. lol

We'll work with the console.

Sorry- yes as to the shifter console, assuming it is compatable with a manual shift lever.

Son is 17 and into food of any kind. I'll bring the truck which is why I'm only bringing him. Yuengling would be my choice also. This coming weekend is already booked. The weekend of the 19th is wide open. Looking forward to the pics. Thanks.

I let it get dark on me before I could get some pictures..... sorry

I pulled out everything dash related
pulled the steering column plastic
front seats
center console (still have to take out the heater)
Shifter console
Glove box
sun visors
disassembled everything that didn't make the engine run
pulled the PS box
pulled the steering shaft
pulled the ABS actuator pump
pulled the door panels/armrests with power window switches
pulled the power mirrors
cut the front sheetmetal out

I'm just about ready to pull out the engine/trans/t-case but waiting a little while for folks that want to hear it run.

I also haven't pulled the doors, rear gate or sun roof (because of elements)

Doesn't seem like much but it took a damn long time!

Don't forget me on the armrests and switches. Price me on the power mirrors too please.

Pics look good. I'm in for the seats and the consoles. See you on Sunday the 20th. Please send me your address via PM (or post it) and let me know what you need, if anything, to hold them. I think I'm going to need that bracket that holds the console in place as well. Thanks.

I figured that I would put some tech in here since it's been asked.

The question: Will the door armrests w/power windows from a 1992 4Runner work in a 1998 Tacoma.

The answer: The door armrests are perfect matches for the tacomas. However, the switches are not. With some very light wiring modifications they can certainly be made to work. (I am not sure if a pickup armrest is different since there are no rear windows to control)

If you try to plug the tacoma harness into the 92 switches, you will end up blowing the 30A "power" fuse at the top of your fuse block under the dash. Don't bother asking how I know. But if you do it, I just saved you the trouble shooting.

In the pictures below, the tan door is the tacoma and the gray panel is the 92.

The switch on the left is the 92 switch - the switch on the right is the Tacoma switch. The wiring harness coming from the door into the switch panel is wider (more wires) on the 92. DO NOT attempt to plug the harness into the 92 harness. Obviously, once the pin-out is determined on both ends it IS possible. The power mirror switches are identical and one will pop out to fit the other.

Figuring out the pinout would prove usefull because the rear window switches could be used for Winch in/out and become very usefull.

Anyway - I figured I would toss some tech down for everyone.

Unfortuantely.... it means no sale for me.

I hope that helps some of you.

WOW! What an answer! Fantastic write-up! Thank you!

Don't count me out just yet for the armrests. Please give me a day to do some research.

Any advice on where to begin looking for the pinout help? I'll start with a friend on another forum. I think I can make this work with a little help.

Great idea on the winch switch!

PLEASE READ:
Folks, this writeup was offered from a question I had posted on three different Taco / 4Runner forums and that I could not receive a solid answer. After mentioning this to Dogdenii last night, he took it upon himself to find out for me. I didn't expect this for a reply and I can not say thank you enough!

Dogdenii is truly a stand-up guy and should be commended. He took the time not only to find the answer(s) for me but also made a great contribution to this forum (And three others I will link this thread to). Furthermore, Dogdenii did this while tearing his 4Runner apart and everyone was / is contacting him for parts.

Hopefully, armed with this new information, I will be able to make this mod work Dogdenii. I promise to provide you more than your asking price once I figure the pinout specifics, etc.

Thanks again!
