Well I'm disappointed that no one noticed that I was able to fit the taco center caps over the manual hubs.

All I gotta say on this matter is that Toyota rocks and besides the newer t4r having bigger and better brakes the wheels all fit for 20 years. Make sure your spacing is right and have a good ride. If you really want to know why doesn't someone send a email to toyota and ASK THEM!
I believe that they use both lug and hub wheels and you can use either type of rim (if the rim clears the hub and brakes)on your truck since TOYOTA ROCKS!!

Just enjoy the fact that the Mayan's were wrong and we get to go wheeling with our trucks for another year.

PS. IMO 16's are easier to find in bigger sizes then 15's if you can convert the sizes properly.

Noticed BUT cutting out center caps to fit is a no brainer when adding newer tacoma/tundra wheels to our trucks...

stock alloy wheels are hub and lug centric, they are hub centric because they have a tight fit around the hub and because the lug nuts counter sink into the wheels. but the steel wheels are only hub centric because the lug nuts cant counter sink into the rim. i attached a picture of a lug centric lug nut that comes on stock alloys, this special lug not is what makes a lug centric wheel.

Oh yeah, I forgot the shank nuts have the beveled edges. They don't contact aluminum wheels, they are for use on the steel, lug-centric spare wheel.
