Blackrock 942 15x8 fit 88 pickup?
Hey Guys,
I am just looking for some confirmation that these will fit the IFS trucks, mines an 88 Pickup.
Called up and the guy down at the tire shop said i would probably hit the brake calipers with them.. I find this surprising, so naturally I wanted to ask the real experts. So here I am!
Im looking to get a set of the Blackrock 942 D window steel wheels in 15x8 with 4" backspacing. Do you think there would be any clearance issues? I know everyone runs 15" steelies but have had a hard time finding anyone with these exact wheels is the main reason I'm hesitant.

There are several brands of D-window steelies on the market. I'm sure Summit has them, and probably cheaper.
I believe the 15x8 will clear the calipers and such, but I'm not certain on the backspacing for an IFS. I thought it required around 3" to 3-3/8" or similar?
What are the wheels that are on there now? Factory? Measure them and get measurements on the areas that have close tolerances. I.E. Steering arms, control arms when turning, etc.

Right now I have junk wheels, off i think a few different 4 runners. My wheels were stolen and they left me with a few different sized wheels and tires, so that's why I'm trying to replace them. If i remember correctly, the stock alloy wheel size that my truck had was a 15x7 with a 4.75 backspacing.
I had before a set of 15x8 with 4inch back spacing, that fit pretty good but they were aluminum. I thought it was odd that the guy seemed to think i would have some sort of clearance issue though, but its hard to argue that point with out the wheels either.
