Power steering hose
Thought I would share this. I didnt know about it and this would be helpful.
When doing the 3.4 swap and are using the 3.4 pump (which probably 99% of us are) and the stock power steering box, the pressure hose has to be grafted or have a new one made.
Trail Gear has a hose set for those Tacoma guys doing SAS using a IFS box.
This should work perfectly for the 3.4 swap and is reasonably priced.
Just FYI. I graft mine but I will replace with this one day.

At least for me this is what I did.
Off the 3.4 pump the pressure line in way too long and the fitting is different off the 3.0 pump. The two hoses had to be cut where they met and then I used a piece of round tubing to join them and then welded that together.
This hose would replace all that for a decent price.
How were you guys able to use either stock hose from the pump to the box without mods?

thats crazy, my truck was already converted before i got it so im guessing he switched something cause my hoses almost fit perfectly from my 3.0 box to the pump. i just had to use the bolt from the 3.0 because the one from the 3.4 was too long

If memory serves, I just used the 3.0 hose and cut a tab off the banjo bolt.

Did you guys retain the idle up?

mine fit perfectly, my dad's 94 didn't I had to bend the a/c low pressure hose out of the way a little bit. The Power steering line was a tight fit, I just attached it without the pump attached to the motor.

BTW I ran my low pressure line back through a spare transmission cooler I had, the stock 3.0 also had a metal line in the return that I believe was for cooling purposes.

Was thinking about doing the same thing. I considered the stock radiator cooler for the auto trans since I am manual, but all the "strawberry" issues I read about I decided against that.

blocked off? If you don't use it you need to block it off? I never did! oh noes! I just figured coolant would never come out through there, but could it eventually?

If the cooler does fail you could lose coolant if its not blocked off. My luck I'd be 500 miles from home when it happened too. Very simple to block it off, I just ran an ATF hose between the 2 fittings connecting them together.

Good Find
Thats a good find for an relatively inexpensive solution. It doesn't have a provision for the idle up valve, but it really isn't needed. I am a perfectionist and always planned to have a hydraulic hose made specifically to retain the idle up feature, but after running the stock 3.0 high pressure hose for 10 months now with no idle up I really don't see the need for it. I have tried on numerous occasions and different conditions (cold, hot, parked, etc.) to stall the motor with the power steering pump and it is impossible if the motor is running correctly.
For the record I used the 3.4 pump, the 3.0 IFS steering box and both hoses high and low pressure from the 3.0 (a '88 4runner) I had to use the longer banjo bolt from the 3.0 pump with the HP hose connection.
