Oil Sensor Gauge
Hey yall i was just curious, what im supposed to do to connect the oil pressure gauge up to the harness. which clip is it? i cant find on my old harness anywhere the correct clip for the job. any help will be appreciated!

First off, you know you need to swap the 3.0 oil pressure sensor over to the 3.4 right? (The 3.4's will burn up the gauge in the dash).
As you're dismantling your 3.0 be sure to make a note of which wire was plugged into the oil pressure sensor, you may need to cut the connector off the 3.0 wiring harness and replace the 3.4's connector with it.
As for finding the connector on the 3.4 harness, grab the 3.4's EWD and compare all the connectors on the harness with the ones at the end of the EWD, and make a note of their names/functions; eventually you'll find the correct one.

I think i have gotten all of that down. I actually ordered a oil gauge sensor from a SR5 dash cluster that was recommended from ORS. hopefully it clips directly up to the terminal i have on my harness

My 3.4 swapped 89 4Runner uses a fuel pressure sender from a 2001 Tundra, so a 3.0 sensor and cut/splicing is completely unnecessary. Toyota DID however make the correct sender starting in 1993 IIRC in the 3.0, which has the same plug as is on the 3.4 wiring harness.
OP: For plug and play, find an oil pressure sensor that looks like this:
It plugs into the block where the idiot light sender was, but will relay correct oil pressure up to your stock gauge. It should be very obvious once you have the wiring laid across the engine, there are only 2 (or 3, if your 3.4 had ADD) plugs running down the left side of the engine. One is a one wire plug that will have plugged into the oil sending unit. 4Runners and Tacomas only had idiot lights, never an actual gauge but a wire is a wire in this case, it cares not what type of gauge you had/have.

So, according to post #4, the 2001 Tundra oil pressure sending unit will plug into my 1996 3.4 wiring harness and correctly operate the oil pressure gage in my 1991 SR5 truck. Is this correct? What is the part number?
