Ya I couldnt find an overall diagram for my 92 either like i could my 97 runner donor. I really like the overall diagram rather than all the individuals.

The hard part is in some diagrams I have the plugs are called on thing and on another diagram the same plug is called something else. I am not sure why this is but it really screwed me up for a while until i noticed it. I then started only using the same source so the plug labels wouldnt change on me.

I am not sure what C1 and C3 are. Can you take pictures or post a diagram of the plug and I will see if i have anything to fit your needs. If I see the plugs, i may know how to help you out. Maybe someone will jump on before that though.

try looking for a overall wiring diagram for the same year 4runner if you still have access to TIS.

In some of my diagrams for indivudual circuits the plug is called C1 and C2 (i think off the top of my head) and in the overall its called IH1 and IH2.

What I did was grab the full version of Acrobat and open the overall diagram for a 92 4Runner and then in the search box enter iH1 and it found all of them. then I labeled the wires and did the same with iH2.

I then took that to the truck and made sure everything matched and it did perfectly. then labeled everything with blue painters tape and a Sharpie.

If you need the overall diagram for a 92 Runner, I can email that to you but thats all that i have.

I also noticed that if you look up on TIS 92 truck nothing pops up but if you look up 92 pickup truck then all the diagrams pop up. If you can take pictures of the connectors and\ or tell us the color wires and the positions, I will try and tell you what I think it maybe.

Pm'd you. Now are these your 3.0 body harness plugs? Cause its looking like these are your IH1 and IH2 body plugs. Which matches my 93 4Runners IH1 and IH2 plugs. I have this written all down in my thread. I will copy and paste for ya.

Oh by the way I have not finished doing my wiring, so this has yet to be proven correct. Take it with a grain of salt. And if anyone has corrections feel free to let me know. Its finally warm enough for a few days I may get out there and play around.

Post up your email and I will send you the 95 Runner diagram that I used. It was a perfect match to my 92 pickup.

If you are looking at the individual diagrams like this one for the engine control notice the connection that I have in the red rectangle. Notice how its called C1 on this diagram.

That is the same connection in this overall wiring diagram for the 95 Runner. Notice its called IH1 on this one.

Same connection but different name. I dont really understand why and it took me a while to figure that out but now I have everything in the 92 tagged where I am confident that i know what each wire does. We'll see if it starts though!!

IK2 and IK6 are the 3.4 body harness connectors. E5 and E6 are the connectors to the ECU. So when all is said and done the E5 and E6 wires go into the IH1 and IH2 body connectors and the engine harness. You are taking the body harness and blending it with the engine harness at that point. (Does that make any sense?) E5 and E6 plug into the computer, some of the wires go to the body and some go to the engine. Hence the splicing.

contact yotaman.

Click his name in the sticky section of this section and use that to email him.

He is a super nice guy and very knowledgeable. I think he is getting about $375 or something for a harness.

Ok the wiring went good this weekend. It started and also sounded very good. But there is no throttle responce it bogges. It also smells very rich. Mass air flow? O2s? Any thoughts out there? On my Ik2 I have a white/red wire. For some reason i can't find a home for.

Look at the diagram above. On the 3.0 the White / red is the feed from the EFI fuse.Verify by putting a meter on it with the key on and it should have 12V+. Leave the meter on the wire and then pull the EFI fuse from the fuse panel on the passenger fenderwell. That wire should lose its 12V+. You should also be able to pull the EFI relay in the same fusepanel and get the same power lose. If so, then that is the EFI feed from that fuse.

That should go the the white/blue (W-L) wire on the 3.4.

Thats what I did anyway.

Well, i tried to convert my PDF to Word doc that could be searchable but that conversion didn't work very well.

I have the full version of Acrobat and one feature it has is to search for text which is really sweet for this. I search the plug i was looking for and found all its instances and then labeled from there. For example, if i was I was looking for allt he wires that passed through junction II3, I entered that into the search box and let Acrobat find them all for me.

You could also look for wires colors by search W-L and it will find all those.

You can get the fully featured trial here for 30 days.

OK I think i have information overload going on. The wire i need spliced is the W/L (White/Blue) on the IK2. Sorry guys. I got a little cought up on this. Also found a OBD2. But it has 4 wires in it. Is that the OBD1 if so will it still work. Also what is the PTNK.

Hey dntsdad,

I have been working on doing a 3.4l swap on my 1995 T4R and just today got it to fire up and running today, which I'm very excited about! I have the overall EDWs my ECU and Harness (1998 T4R) but I wasn't able to find the overall for the 1995.. From this post it sounds like you did? Or do you have any advice for what i need to look up on TIS?
The truck runs but I still have some blank spots on my swap EDW and this would help a ton!

Appreciate the help in advanced!
