anybody else used downeys 4l60e adapter?

I used the downey adapter form the 4l60e to the toyota transfere case. When I bought the adapter they sold me a new VSS sencor. I threw the original one out.

Now that the truck is running the VSS in giving me problems. The VSS is giving a much lower signal to the PCM than it should be giving. At 30 mph it is putting out about .7 volts. I think it should be giving out about 2.5 to 3 volts. When I am driving it around in first gear at 5500 rpms my scan tool tells me I am going about 7 MPH when my dash speedometer it sayong about 30 MPH.

Downeys instructions say to set the gap between the VSS and the reluctor ring to .040". Witch I did. The VSS in new and the wiring is good.

has anybody else had a problem likt this? Maybe the VSS I got from downey is the wrong one? maybe the gap is wrong? someone else must have the same problem.

Does anybody know what Advanced adapters has you set the gap at?

Any ideas.

I just read the Advanced adapters manual and is says to use .010 to .012 gap. I guess I need to drop my t-case and adjust the gap?

Is it a downey adapter or an AA adapter?
