Leo what area is section 5? Are you guys going rain or shine? Maybe the hummer event will get rained out? I hear those hummers fall apart when wet.

area 5 is the fenced in area before you get to the school house gate.

usually, groups reserve it for like a camp ground or picnic area and they can go directly to the 4x4 area directly from there...

lets see what those H2s can do...

I was gonna ask if you wanted to meet somewhere? R U gonna come down 680? We could hook up in Fremont and cruise down together.

As well as anyone else who would like to caravan.

Hey Art, hows it goin?

First the mud situation, talked to a buddy that just got back form the lower ranch (dirt bike, atv). He says its a mess, and it doesn't look like its getting much better. But Oh well, just have to spend some extra time at the power wash.
Second, the caravan, I'm heading South 5 to 152 West, to 156 South? into Hollister. Nowhere near the bay area, saves me a good bit of time. So I guess I will just meet up at the ranger station.
And yeah, I got some 4wheelin in today also, on the way back from Tahoa. B-E-A-utiful.

Hey Guys
Looks like a storm is comming according to the weather report. It looks good right now. just finished putting in my roger brown 1 in body lift. If its to rainy or muddy then I may cancel and hit the waves in Santa Cruz as its suppose to have 15 to 25 foot swells which makes for great surf. Bernal Road is a good spot to meet, However I live right off the freeway on Julian and 101 there is an ARCO that has the best price for gas in town. The next cheapest price is usually at USA Gas off of the Capitol and 101 exit. Im ok to meet and start a caravan from the south bay lets meet at 9:00 am and be out at 9:15 as it will probably take 45 to 50 min to get there from here. Thats not hawaiian time....haha also I have 1 extra motorola handheld radio

Looks like HH will be nice and muddy on Saturday. The weather forecast predicts rain till Friday, but fortunately no rain on Saturday.

I will probably get stuck on just the blue ractangle roads, with a stock vechile and stock dunlops

Dont know what the mud pit will look like

I will meet you guys at the ranger station at HH 10-10:30am.

Lets see what the Subi's are going to do

I look forward to meeting you guys. It will be me and a buddy in my rig. I have a cb but no FRS. Maybe one of you guys has one I could borrow.

Also, I've never been to Hollister Hills before and the link in this thread for directions isn't working. Can anyone give me directions or point me to a site where I can find them?

Thanks.

showers for people. they used a grant from the gov to make the showers. it's at the lower ranch for the bikers. but everyone can use it. i remember a plan to make showers for the upper ranch, but that was like a couple years ago.

showers for cars. it's actually called a bike wash area. but again, anyone can use it... it's just a couple water spigot with hoses... it's close to the ranger station. ask them...

00Runner dont worry I got a extra FRS for you. I hate to be a wimp but the waves are to big for even the big Kahuna..... so looks like I'll be there for lunch at Hector Heights. Yup monster wave=dead big kahuna so surfing is a no go... however keep an eye out for my cousin who might be surfing at Maveric's tomorrow, he just flew in from Oahu.. Anyone interested in wagon training to hollister from SJ just drop me an email
Peace Big Kahuna

Hey guys I'm pulling the plug on my plans, (this is becoming way to common  ). Have a friend that needs to put a new roof on his shop, that last storm came through and took a good chunk of the roof with it. No honorary Toy this time, but I will keep on checking in from time-to-time.

Sorry
