4.88 ARB 3rd member should I buy?

I have the opportunity to buy a used 8" V6 3rd member with 4.88s and an ARB air locker for $1,000. Apparently the guy says he had 2 runs on it before he rolled it and now he is parting it out. I already wanted to do 4.88s and a locker but do you think used is too risky? This is for my 95 4Runner (see below for stats.)

What questions should I ask him and what should I look out for?

Seems a bit high IMO. Is he including the compressor?
Things to find out:
Who did the set up? Are the lines good. They can get tweeked during installed..it is a tight fit
what brand of gears? Solid or crush pinion sleave. Was a master install kit used on the diff/locker install.

No compressor, Crush sleeve, Superior gears patterned since it was pulled, master kit was used, local offroad company did the build.
