T100 auto transmission?
I'm looking at a 1994 T100 4x4 for sale locally. Has a rebuilt 3.0, the owner said the headgasket(s) went, so he had it rebuilt 8000 miles ago. Has an automatic transmission, probably an A340F, I think. Are these things any good? Are they the same as the autos used in the pickups and 4 Runners? This truck has 130,000 miles, and saw a lot of towing a 4000lb boat. I'm thinking the transmission might be pretty beat.

197,000 on the original trans. Includes much overloaded trailer towing and over-GVWR gravel hauling, cross country moves, and some fairly hardcore off-roading. Fluid smells burnt. Oh, well. Trans shifts hard, doesn't slip, and runs good enough for me.
