R&P Replacement Bushings for 96 t100
I have a 96 t100 that has the bushings wore out on the rack and pinion and I was looking them up and didnt find a replacement other than buying a new rack and pinion. Does anyone know where to purchase a set of poly or replacement? thank you for your help.

The closest thing I could source was the Tundra poly bushing kit but no one has been willing to measure the "D" bushing inner diameter or rack outer diameter to confirm. The other bushings are unknown to me. I do have a new spare rack that I'm taking the rubber ones out but I want to make sure I have poly replacements to swap in before I do that.
I know the Tacoma "D" steering bushing will not work.
This is the part number fer the stock "D" bushing...

This is the Tundra steering kit...fer $23 plus shipping. If the Tundra "D" bushing is a little too big, it may be cut down to fit just right.

thank you for the info hopefully i can get this fixed as i'm tired of how the truck is performing. Well today the Dorman 905 400 kit doesn't work without major grinding or tuning down the bushings. The D bushing is really big and i felt it would take to much to make work, know i wanted to see it the 905-401 is any different but there's no dimensions to compare.

I did find something interesting...
Looks like the 2004 Tacoma got the 8.10103 kit...fer $17 plus shipping.

The 1995-2003 Tacoma got the 8.10101 kit fer $17 plus shipping.

I wonder if the rack bushings would work off of the 8.10103 kit...

I found a wrecked t100 and took the bushins out of the r/p and no change. I changed out the front shocks from the direct replacement units with sensa tracs now and what a difference in ride especially with the tundra 20's on it. Know i had to buy the drivers side caliper on the cause the piston was cocked and didnt allow the pads to loosen up on the rotor. Im awaiting the semi brakes/ cross drilled and slotted rotors to come in but it still shakes at 65 to 80. im going to have the rear checked cause im thinking the housing is bent due to previous owner towing a massive camper all the time..

A quick follow up to this thread...success!
Energy Suspensions part number 9.9111 will work as long as you reuse the OEM metal sleeves. After removing the OEM bushings from the rack, I used some gas in a metal container to burn the rubber off the OEM metal sleeves.
