Pink wire 94 4runner
I installed the engine (3.0-V6) out of my 91 pickup into my 94 4runner. and there is one wire that I can't find where it gos.
It comes from the ECU on the pass side and is routed around the front of the motor to the drivers side, following the same path as the injector wires.
The engine wiring diagram in my Chiltons manual, shows a pink wire coming from a "C22" location terminating at the EGR valve. this information is the same for both the 91 truck diagram, and the 94 runner. what I need to know is, am I on the right track? and if so, where is the EGR valve and its wiring connection?

Could be for the EGR Gas Temperature Sensor. Some have 'em, some don't. Whether you will need one, or not, is probably up to the Great State of Idaho.

I found the EGR VSV connection and there is the pink wire going to it already.
So why do I have another pink wire running around to the other side?
The diagram for the 94 runner only shows one pink wire ( EGR,VSV )
I did notice that the diagram for '89 to 92 runner/ "89 to '90 pu does show a second pink wire going to a water temp switch. The 94 diagram dont even show a water temp switch at all. Is it possible that my runner has a wiring harness with an extra pink wire that was never used? I do not get a voltage reading on it with the multi meter.
I am at a loss. Anybody have any ideas?

This is why you should have used your 94 parts on the 91 engine (ie engine harness, etc). There are a TON of differences, including water passages and timing components, even though both engines carry the same 3VZ designation.
Does your engine run rough or bad? Often times wires go to things like AC connections, cruise control, etc even if your truck didn't have those options.

Perhaps you are right, However my truck had a 5 speed manual transmission. Runner has the 4sp. automatic. It seemed best to go with the runners ecu and wiring. The engine ran great prior to removing it from the truck. It has not fired up at all yet. No spark from the coil wire. I just wanted to put those two wire issues to rest, before I proceeded any further trouble shooting the no start scenereo.
