It looks like a good unit. One ground wire and one heavy gage wire to the battery.

The only thing I can't find on their site is an adapter to run a "V" type of belt.

Also I have never thought of this, but is there such a thing as too much charging for a battery. 220 amps is a lot for a battery to handel it seems.

that's what the voltage regulator is for. No such thing as too much current for battery charging.

This one dosen't run through a voltage regulator. It's a direct wire to the battery.

it's internal to the alt just like ours. well, at least the trucks that don't have an external one anyway.

well then i hope the regulator is built in....
'Simple One Wire Hookup - Easy hookup. Just connect your large gauge battery wire and go! No other wires necessary. This unit is self exciting, internally regulated alternator great for any vehicle!'

300 bones, my reservation is i can't walk into Crapa, or AutoDrones and pick a new one up when this one fails(thinking of being out on the road) ...However, i am still waiting for my MR2 alt from Denso, back ordered 3 weeks, should ship tomorrow. But its nearly half the price and not nearly 220amps though.

Your right. I guess I need to see if they make an adapter for a "V" type belt. My winch would love me.
