Electric radiator Fan

Hello fellow yotatech members got a question today!
So I have 1980 2wd pickup new radiator in it the fan use to kick in but no longer does. I found out last night due to letting the truck warm up it was almost peek red line on the temp gauge. I was wonderig what the problem is ?

Dependng on the ambient temp outside I'd be REAL CURIOUS how long it idled to warm up before it reached that point?
Did you replace the rad because of leaks or an overheating problem?
If it was cold outside I'd be suspicious of the thermostat or water pump before I was concerned about the airflow.
Electric fan is not stock on that so what is it using to operate it?

I bought the truck like this so i don't know. It was cold out when I was warming it up with a manual choke set at 1.5k rpm. It doesn't over heat when driving . So I was going to test to see if the fan even works cause it did when I first bought the truck. I guess tomorrow my day off i will be chasing wires
