TN members: Anyone familiar with the state's Antique Auto Tags?
My 4runner will be 25 in 2012, and I was reading online about the Antique Auto tags.
I was wondering if anybody has ever had a vehicle with the AA tags. It would be nice to have the permanent tags, but I'm not sure if I want to limit my driving of my 4runner that much. I mean, I drive it 5000 miles or less per year anyway.
One thing I was really wondering about is how strict they are about only driving it on weekends. Would a cop really pull you over and ask if you were going to a show or doing something related to maintenance or upgrades for the vehicle if it were a weekday? Could I drive it to work on occasion?
My other concern is with wheeling it. Do most of the ORV parks in TN require you to have normal tags or would the AA tags qualify?

The limited discussion I have had about antique tags is that there is a limit on the number of miles driven. I guess the idea behind them is that the owner of an "Antique" would be babying the vehicle.
Do the tags allow special privileges to the vehicle? Do you get special perks for insurance?
