t100 Gas tank?

t100 Gas tank?
Alright, I think my tank is about shot, and is leaking gas. Auto parts stores don't list them anymore, and toyota wants me to bend over for $625 AND I might have to buy a new sending unit bracket for $150 because they changed the tank at some point so the braket off mine might not fit.
I can't afford that right now.
I haven't dropped the tank yet, doing that this weekend.
"fixing" the tank usually doesn't last.
My question?
Has anyone retrofitted a different tank into their yota? or even one from another yota like a pick up? I was thinking of hitting up the junk yard but I KNOW there's no T100's there.
Anybody use something custom?

timing is everything.!!! ive been researching this for my 93 runner. im looking to put mine behind the axle ( where the same used to go) you can fit a bunch of tanks there. the ford e 150 tanks seem to be the best ( 25 gallon or more) ill be using the 25 gallon tank for increased range and the fact its only 11 inches deep ( which puts it 5 inches under the frame) try gastanks.com nice prices and from what i hear good service and tanks.
the e150 tank will fit nicely between the rails if you cut out the spare tire gear fuel pump from same ford will pump plenty for our MFI and the sending units and be modified to work with our gauges
also the rodeo tank will fit and is pretty
the ford is your best bet look up BRUCETS he did it to his 3rd gen runner
or google toyota tank relocation thats what i did

Like Sway said the 150 tanks have been used before, Check out Fillsrunner 3.4 build for a good look at one of those. My story, I have (well had) a 91 truck short bed, I needed a new tank so I hit up a 4x4 salvage yard, Come to find out they gave me a 2x4 tank out of a 94, I had to fab mounts for one side because it was uber short, Like 13 gallons instead of 17. But its not to bad, worst thing is draining the tank, if its full, and dropping it. P.S. If your truck doesnt run after you do the swap, erm, your lines are backwards..lol..

Anyone know of a place to get one cheap or something I can do!! Keep in mind I'm a single mom with no mechanic experience but I will get the job done for my son.
