Where is the cry baby smiley?

Way too many bullet holes in that article, from the guy that "bought it's" own words...

Plus, I don't care... Find 10 more pages like that and I might...

A mechanic told him to buy it? And he's so tech savvy he had an oil sample sent off...

wow...it's possible that it was just a lemon..it happens..hell my dad had a 1990 chevy 4x4 with the 700R4...people SWEAR by that transmission..yet we went through 7 trannies in like 2 or 3 years (the heaviest thing we haul was a 18ft bassboat...and he's always VERY easy on his vehicles)..all of them professionally installed and all of them were reman ones..i don't hear of people having trouble with that tranny..and i still haven't.

i still think LCE should have warrantied it though...that's straight bulllllshiizzz

The guys fuel system had nothing to do with their workmanship.

I would like to see the LCE warranty claim average... I wonder if this motor makes it .0005283%

Like I said, the dudes a crybaby with way too much internet skillz and not enough mechanical or common sense.

Who in the hell buys a LCE as a drop in? They're like DOUBLE of a stock rebuild or longblock kit! WTF?

What Toyota engine needs a rebuild at 180k? And do the math, the guy put an engine in worth the value of the truck... I smell a rat!

uhm..maybe he wanted something quick and easy???...hell it probably didn't take but like a week to get that motor and put it in.....

it's not the fact that he's bitching about the motor being a P.O.S. he's bitching because of LCE NOT HOLDING THEIR WORD!!!!!

i would go to court and make them pay for it if it were me.....they said 3month warranty (which is bogus...my 3vz is getting rebuilt at a shop in Tulsa, OK and it's gonna have a 3 YEAR 36,000 mile warranty..that covers EVERYTHING.....) and the guy's motor screws up BEFORE THE WARRANTY IS UP then they should replace it..DUH

Not that I condone LCE not covering the motor, after all it was before the 3 months, but one thing noone has said yet, is the possible reason why LCE would only warranty their motors for 3 months. For the most part the motors that they have available are for "Racing Purposes" and are going to be abused. Now if someone wanted one of these motors for a daily driver, then I would advise them not to go with one of these motors. There probably only a few racing motor manufactures that will offer much more than 30-90 days.

well if someone is going to put a "racing motor" in a daily driven truck, the components used to make it a "racing motor" should withstand some daily driving don't ya think?

how pissed would a guy have been if he was running a race with a brand new LCE motor, and it spun a bearing in the middle of the race????...especially if he was winning LMAO

Like I said they should have covered it. But I don't knock the 30 day warranty period though.

I concur COMPLETELY on the warranty issue!!! I was just curious if their motors were a real POS. Cause I mean for the amount of cash you drop for one of those you would think the bearings would be top notch. But who knows the bearing could have been faulty??? I ve seen it happen before. Oh and o tried4x2s comment I agree as well...anyone who knows a SMALL amount aabout a 22r will say...
180k ALRIGHT I FINALLY broke it in lol
But then again sayin that it does depend on your driving habits too.

One side of the story and it's the Internet. Who knows what really happened. Who cares.

LCE makes good headers.

Good point wabbit. No matter how thin you slice a tomato, it still has two sides.
