Cutting through Daystar spacers?

Anyone know if its possible to cut through a daystar spacer?

I want to drop my rear down 1.5" and just want to cut the damn spacer instead of buying new ones. Anyone know if you can just take a hack-saw and saw through it?

I seriously doubt it.
But if you take them to a machinist he can cut them down properly. (on a lathe)

I assume these are polyeurethane? It's not exactly the 'solid' that's the problem (although the stuff is high density - it IS designed to be durable after all) it's the elasticity that's problem. A saw will grab it instead of wanting to cut smoothly through it. Plus there is the issue of how to hold it steady without flex (to get a straight cut) and without crush (thus gripping the saw) and how to cut straight and true in the first place. Poly is normally machined, it's quite easy to cut that way and shouldn't cost much to have it done.

Id say that if you used a bandsaw with a blade with around 32 teeth/inch, (or lots of little teeth) you'll be ok. Im plannin on doing this when I get my OME H/D coils b/c Im afraid that after I load up the truck, it will be a little sagged, so i was gonna cut my spacers down to about an inch...let us know how it goes.

I held mine with a table top vice and then cut it with a skill saw. The hacksaw works too, but just takes longer...
