if you're 100% committed to buying, then plese post a response here. when we get 10, we'll pull the trigger and you'll have to follow through with the purchase.
update:
THIS GROUP BUY CLOSES AT
5PM EST ON THURSDAY, APRIL 13TH
- NO EXCEPTIONS -
To participate, copy the list, paste it in the reply box at the bottom of this thread and add your name, product description, and price to it. After you do that, you have until 5PM on Thursday, April 13th to call Bud with your Credit Card info and Shipping Address. He will give you a shipping estimate and total amount when you call. The SOONER YOU DO THIS, THE BETTER!
He will be holding all orders until we get 10 pieces paid for. To pay, you MUST call in with the CC info and shipping address. When he get's the required 10 pieces paid for, then AND ONLY THEN will he begin to process the payments and ship the skids. This is what I offered to him as protection against people backing out and he agreed that this is the way that he'd like to do it.

figure 50#, 18" wide, 24" long, and probably 12" high. there is no box, so FedEx and UPS charges the regular ground rate + a $7 "special handling fee" for non-boxed items.
the whole point of this is that with the group buy, you can save $50. plan on spending that much on shipping and then anything less and you'll be happy. if getting one or not getting one comes down to $20 or less difference in price, then you're really not ready to drop the coin on something that you're just going to beat the snot out of.

Andy,
Bud's website lists the the combo price for the skid plate and belly pan at $450. So if we get 10 orders (or 10 pieces), we'll get an additional 20% off as well for a total of $360 + s/h?

I would be in for a front and belly, but would like to confirm some things first:
1) I assume this is for the 3/16" version?
2) How is the belly pan attached? Does it go on before or after the front?
3) How is the rigidity of these without any angle iron supports in place? Seems like the end goal is compromised without this. Note that I'm looking for something more than the existing "beefy" comments.
4) For those who have them, does the clearance seem to be as tight as possible?
5) Are bolts included? No biggie if not.

To add to Darrens list of Q's, does the front skid work with 1" bodylift. I guess what this really comes down too is: are there longer (optional) bolts that will fit with 1" bodylift?

2) How is the belly pan attached? Does it go on before or after the front? It appears to have a rear support behind the XF case. I'll get details and post them in this thread. I put a few pics below for reference. I think they can go on/off independently of each other.

Note that I'm looking for something more than the existing "beefy" comments. I've thought of that myself. I am planning on adding some bracing on the front where it usually gets dinged. If you want your done the same way, I can do it for pretty cheap. My suggestion is that if you want something custom, it might be better to just contact Bud and have him do it. I just don't know if he has a 3rd gen handy to test fit after modifications and I do.
4) For those who have them, does the clearance seem to be as tight as possible? Check the pics. They're tight...
5) Are bolts included? No biggie if not. Hmmm, Don't know...

I answered your Q's above in BLUE.
check out the round tube in the far left of this pic. that's the rear mount support. i don't think it's included in the $450 price for both skids, but i think that's what is referenced just below that price for the skid, bellyplate, and rear crossmember:
here's a good pic showing the mounting points. notice that there's no internal bracing, but 3/16" is HEAVY plate. it should hold up nicely...
here's a pic of that crossmember to support the rear of the bellypan:
