Black paint covered in overspray

My black 08 Tundra is covered in overspray...pretty sure it is from where it sits all day at my full-timer.

Clay bar isn't phasing it, but the paint is now pretty smoth.

Suggestions on how to get the overspray off and get my shiny black paint back?

I'd really like to go get it done and give the asshats who caused this the bill (the business next to where I park)...and I just might.

Yeah, I've used their products before on my 00 4Runner that was black and it glowed in the dark. Just never had to remove overspray like this before.

It is noticeable from about 5 ft away it is so heavy.

Then when I do get it removed, what to do about parking at work so it doesn't happen again or continue to happen. On a light vehicle you'd never see it, but on the black it glares at you big time.

it is not overspray it is most likely fall out, especially if you park in an industrial area. only real way to get it off is to buff it, clay bars won't touch it. you can give them the bill but i doubt they will pay it. the only way to protect is to wax often.

What ever happened to the truck Brian?

This exact thing happened to my dads 2yr old ford F-150 , I asked him what happened with his and he said he filed a police report took the report to the guys doing the painting they then gave my dad $500 for the deductible on his insurance and the insurance repainted the whole truck .
You may not want to paint the whole truck but $500 will buy something to probably take it off.

good Luck !!

if it is overspray get a low temp reducer( UR40 would be the best) then use a micro fiber rag and wash down the whole truck with it. just be carefull no to let it sit on the paint to long when cleaning. after that wax the truck casue it will look all streky from the reducer. this is how we clean up overspray at work( i work at a bodyshop).

More agressive clay bar and lots of elbow grease and the "extra" paint is gone. It still needs a good polish and waxing though.

Mothers wax and power ball will return the paint to it's original shine.
