That's about how I feel sometimes.
It's not that I am concerned that the oil has broken-down and the properties have deteriorated, but rather the junk that it collects over time, a lot of dust here in the high-desert of new mexico.

how does dust make its way into your oil?
and over time i'm not so sure oil DOES break down. there are people who swear by the 8k mile oil change, and say that oil's properties out of the bottle are worse than after running a while, so in effect the every 3k mile oil change is creating MORE wear on the engine. this they evidence with detailed oil analysis and frankly, if i took more time to study it and look at the results more carefully i might believe it. it sounds possible. i mean, what more could the oil companies and car companies want then to cause excessive wear on your engine? makes sence to me....lol.
but until i study it like i said, every 3k/4k miles should suffice. changing the filter is the important part.

we used it on my friends saturn a couple years ago and the stuff worked really good. It cleaned out a lot of crap inside the engine too, ran a lot smoother too.

Really, the only 'additive' one should consider is synthetic oil. Nevertheless, my tired 10 year old Chrysler (2.4L DOHC) was starting to lose a little of its jump off the start. I figured, what the hell, let's see if this stuff actually works.
It took about 30 minutes, (20 minutes city-10 minutes highway), but I definitely noticed a difference.
For everyone who says all these things are snake oil, perhaps they should ask why an egg works to stop an oil pan leak.....

I tried it awhile ago on a 94 ford escort and my grand prix (before I had the runner) it didn't have any positive effects at all!
Only thing it did do was gunk up the oil filter and dirty up the oil quick fast and in a hurry.
I would definately NOT recommend the engine restore product
