Wragnler bucket seats in a pickup...painful to install?
i'm thinking about picking these up for dirt cheap from a friend with a wrangler. Has anybody done this with wrangler seats in a 91 pickup single cab?
Not looking for the typical jeep hate response just feedback on how much of a pain this was please.
Or just spending a twice as much on some buckets from jc whitney...
Help me decide...
Thanks,
Mike

Never done it with wrangler seats, but I have used isuzu seats in my 91 p/u... It wasnt really difficult, I just bloted a couple 2x4's to the floor, then the seats to the 2x4's, and voila!

depends on how you want to mount them. are you looking for a direct bolt-in, minor modifications, or a bit of welding?
you can make any seat fit any truck. i have '93 mustang gt seats in my cab. the driver's side was almost bolt-in, and the passenger's side required a bit of welding, but nothing too hard

I'd like to be able to just do some minor grinding/drilling. I'll have to go pick up the welder from a friend if i have to weld it and i'm trying to get it done before some wheeling planned for friday.

They do look plush, no pic of the bottom. Dude is sending me a bottom pic at 5pm but he's not including the brackets.

it took me 3 days total (more like 2 if the weather was nice) to do both seats. you might be able to do one before you go and one afterward. i drove with just one 'stang seat in the driver's side for a good 6 months before i got access to a welder
(oh, and if you have a bench or split-bench, it will feel weird not having a right-side armrest)
