Also thank you for the quick reply to on Denso. So Denso was the ACTUAL OEM for thing like Plugs, Wires, Dist. Cap and Button, hmmm. Gonna look at Denso wires/plugs vs. NGK same.

Well I have been awaiting patiently to say..... 
my parts for my engine came in. Now to get some tools I may need as the left side is a bear to get to when changing the spark plugs.
I got NGK Wires, NGK V-Power plugs, Daichii rotor and button (couldn't find Denso alike ANYWHERE), and have a TPS located but not ordered in case. Will probably do the oil and oil filter too. So I will be busy hopefully this weekend. Anything else I am missing on the tune-up end?

Ok well I did the tune as follows:
1. Spark plugs - Were Bosch Platinum (yeuccky condition) Now - NGK V-Power
2. Spark plus Wires - Were Autolite - (real bad shape) Now - NGK - Pro?
3. Distributor Cap - Was Unknown (bad contacts inside) Now Daiichi
4. Rotor - Was Unknown (worn button) Now Daiichi
5. I cleaned up the Throttle body area using a toothbrush and carb cleaner like someone did in a post on here. Wasn't really all that bad.
Pros:
Better response- When I hit the gas it goes!
Seems to burn the fuel better, hard to explain exhaust smells different lol.
Little more power.
No dead spots (YAY!
)
MPG - Will let you know later.
Now for the bad news
..
Still idles high!!!!
BUT I still have to check the timing with a light. Haven't use one of those in years. No problem I think I can figure it out.
Got some pics I am gonna update on here for future reference in case someone else needs to use them.

i've found NGK and denso work well in my 88 4Runner for tuneup parts.
to check for vacuum leaks, get some ether and spray it around the myriad of hoses. if the rpm's go up it leaks right there.
you must check timing with paper clip between two terminals in the diagnostic box, E1 & T1. or tune it with your ear. lotsa people like 10* or 12* advanced.
click that link, roger brown has alot of info for repairs and tricks and mods.

I took my wifes Tundra for an oil change , while waiting i went to the parts guy to get a price on wires for my 88 3.0 4Runner , $124.00 for wires seems a bit expesive to me , is anybody acually spending that much for wires , and what makes them so much better than parts store wires ??

You can buy an OEM spark plug wire set(made by NGK or Denso) for ~$80 from an online OEM parts distributor(take your pick).
OEM part # 90919-21454
Or you can buy a spark plug wire set made by NGK or Denso(same as OEM) for ~$25-35 from an online aftermarket parts distributor(take your pick).
NGK part # 8139(TX11)
Denso part # 671-6173
You can probably find them at many auto parts store as well...for much cheaper than the stealership.
Oh..and no. There's nothing special/better about them. I run Accel solid-core spark plug wires on mine, which perform MUCH better, and will outlast them by far.
