Transmission slip
Ok so I've done a few searches and all the related threads dont have the exact same problems.
I have an automatic 92 4runner, Friday on my way home the tranny would slip and RPMs would from about 3 to 5+ then come right back down if I let off the accelorater.
Checked the fluids, they were slightly darker than red but FAR from burnt. It sat over the weekend, took her for a quick ride today and no slip at all....
Any ideas?

Still could be the clutches slipping possibly only an issue when warm maybe sitting let it cool enough to not slip you could try and change fluid and filter or have a tranny shop try and adjust the clutches
