Spark plug correct gap size 22re???

I just put new plugs in my 87 4runner and gapped them what the parts store told me to but I have a feeling they were wrong because my truck is really underpowered now and it feels like its pulling a load when it's not. Thanks a bunch for any input.

what kinda of plugs? And the plug gap listing is in the FSM, might wanna download that. And we cannot tell you that you are right or wrong when we don't know what gap value you used.

I went ahead and got platinum plugs and new wires. I think my problem is my transmission.
