Quick grille question

Does anybody know if an 87-88 2wd grille will bolt on to my '85 4wd pickup? I would assume since they are the same body style, it should. I hate ebay links, but this is the first I found:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Grille-A...d12642&vxp=mtr

thanks for any info. (and yes, I searched, but I can't find info on this specific grille)

Here is a picture they use for the glassworks fiberglass fenders. This is the grille style I want on mine, just curious if it is a simple 5 minute swap.

As far as ive seen the corners and fenders are different between 4 and 2wds but im pretty sure the grills are the same mounting. But not 100% sure? Maybe compare the two at a junk yard?

I'm pretty sure you'll have no problems with the swap! I know someone who has a 2WD grille on his 4Runner and it bolted right up!

The problem is I'm deployed overseas right now lol. I can't check anywhere nor can I even go look at my truck to see how simple stuff is mounted. But I bought it, hope it will fit. I heard and kind of 84-88 2wd and 4wd front end pieces are interchangable, but I'm not certain.

I'll be posting a bunch of stupid little threads like this if I can't find the info I need, so bare with me. I'm going for an old chevy look, but not going to abandon the Toyota, I like the smaller trucks.

Just so I would know and happen to have a 2wd grill, everything matched up on my 86 runner. I just re installed my core support today and still have some adjusting to do. The fenders and hood are not even close to being where thye should be, but I literally installed them one hour agao and it is too hot so came in. Stay safe over there.

Grills are interchangeable from 84-88 trucks 2wd and 4wd. Also 84-89 4runners.

I have that same grill on my truck.

I used to be in to low rider trucks. A common mod with low rider trucks is putting the 4x4 fenders on them so that you can tuck the tires under the fender well when you air down or release hydrallic pressure. The only difference in the fenders for year 84-88 was the flare size. I have seen probably 5 different possiblities for grills in this year range. It does not seem to matter if it is two or 4 wheel drive or what year it is, these trucks are going to have one of several different grills. The only steady standard that I saw is that the SR5 grills were often times chrome. I know that the 4x4 bumbers had plastic ends on them so as to fit the flare of the fender. Most of the 2 wheel drive trucks came with a bumper that was metal end to end. Hope this helps. I have probably changed the fenders and beds on a minimum of 20 trucks as well as at least that many grills. A popular mod back in the day was the 89 and up front bumper and valence/air dam being installed on the older trucks. I know I am 100% right on this.

IMO it is the best looking bumper available for these trucks.

Very stout, I've hit trees, rocks, large dumpsters, cars and deer with it and its holding up great.

Don't know if I'd pay full price though. Kinda spendy. Got mine used for $150.

It is a PITA to get a winch in it though, at least an xd9000.
