New Trekker Owner: What vacuum lines can I remove and still pass CA smog
I just bought one for $300 with 141k miles on it but I have two small rot holes in the floor board. I was wondering what vaccum lines I can eliminate to pass CA smog laws? Can anyone help me out?

Hmmm yes, California smog.... Don't eliminate, get the specs for the correct vacuum lines and placements. Check a service manual for the CA '81 smog diagram. Make sure your smog pump is attached. You probably need a new CAT, if its original. For me it was the difference between pass and fail. Don't hack it! It'll just cost you more when it fails again, been down that road many times on my '82, good luck

Yeah, shlobeck is right. You'll probly end up adding more stuff to it to get it to pass. I hate CA smog laws. You could always say you bought it from a dad, mom, sister, brother, and I think grand parent to avoid smog, Just not an uncle. You don't even need them to do or say anything either. Nobody at DMV cares.

$300 for a trekker, good deal, would be curious to see pic
Doubt you can get away with pulling too much stuff and still pass CA smog.
