So after wheelin today i took my truck to one of those car washes where you wash it yourself with the pressure washer and all. Well i opened the hood and sprayed the engine cleaner all over it. Did the same with the whole under side of the truck.Then proceeded to rinse it all off. Well after the was i notice something was squeaking from under the truck or up near he firewall every time i let off the clutch. Any ideas what this squeak could be?

Since it was right after a wash, I would say that some of the moly grease washed off of the clutch fork pivot point.

Look at your transmission, and locate the clutch slave cylinder. There should be a boot around the fork that it pushes (if not get one, it helps keep water and dirt out of the bell housing)

Pull the boot back, and you will see the rest of the clutch fork and the 'pivot point' that I am talking about. Stuff some moly based grease on that point, and it should stop. If not, it could be an early notice that your input shaft bearing is scarred.

Thanks..The fork you are talking about would be on the passenger side? Because there is one over there. it has became loose and doesn't stick to the transition like it looks like it should. And im gonna go check on that tomorrow. Thanks again

I would use moly on it, it will hold up longer. I think super white would be fine though

well this morning it stopped squeaking. and i didnt have a grease gun so i borrowed one from a buddy. But the zirk was to big or something. I couldent get any grease in it.

Nice, at least the problem is solved! You don't have to get the moly in the grease gun cartridges, if you just bought the can of it you could get it on that pivot point with your finger

I did rub some on that thing. But there was a zirk on the thing that pushes the arm. I think it was the master or slave cylinder.what do you thing.

Thats the slave... and that zirk is for bleeding the air out of the system..

Please, Dont grease that.

Yup that pretty much summed it up.

I doubt that grease would make it into the slave if you did grease it, unless you loosened that zirk to grease it.

because that zirk is normally closed to keep the fluid in.

Haha see your learning more so when your clutch slave or master takes a dump, you know how to bleed it!

You loosen the 'zirk' its actually called a bleeder valve, then have someone depress the clutch pedal, you loosen it, then tighten it, then tell your friend pushing the pedal that he can bring the pedal up...lather rinse repeat

In a nutshell of course, those aren't my best words of advice, but only brake fluid needs to be in the slave, no grease or anything

Well I figured that was a grease thing.looks just like one. Thanks though. i thought maby a rod needed greasing in there or something.so that's just like bleading breaks? What do you mean lather rinse repeat?

Yeah its like bleeding breaks, except thats the only bleeder valve to the clutch system.

Lather rinse repeat...you've never seen/heard that?? Never mind haha I just meant that you have to repeat that step a few times to properly bleed the clutch system.
