can a snorkel be put on a daily driver?
i have seriously been looking at getting a snorkel for my Hilux Surf, but i have one question: it is a daily driver, i do go offroad a bit when i find the time and my concern is what would happen if water got in it when i am out driving on a rainy day?

Have had my snorkel on for a few years, no problem.
Safari (imported via ARB) are made to drain out rain water before it gets down the tube to the filter.
Contrary to what some do, you do not have to turn around the head in a big rain or snow storm either.
They are made to work in all weather.

No issues if your gonna use the ARB snorkel, however as Corey mentioned it's designed to drain a small amount of water that might make it past the air filter on the top. However if you build your own, not sure on the water drainage part. But those filters on the top are also water repellent as well.

Just another idea ive seen here on Yotatech is a built in snorkel that pulls air from inside the cab of the truck, aka no worries on rain or snow getting into the snorkel to begin with, just and idea
