Buying advice for a 1997 Land Cruiser
I am new to this forum and am seeking guidance for buying a 1997 Land Cruiser with lots of mileage - 206k with the asking price of $6,988. Is the mileage too high for the price of this cruiser? What things should I look for to make sure it's okay? BTW, the interior wood-finish trim pieces are bubbling up or discoloring. Is this an easy fix or should this be a warning? Thanks

That seems like a good price, at least at KBB

run it yourself and see what it comes up to.

Check out www.IH8MUD.com for more in depth Land Cruiser information. You should be able to get a better opinion on that site. Cheers.

that seems like a pretty good price...which reflects the high miles. definitely look for any service history, and if youre in the rust belt, check for any bad rusty frame/underbody areas. have a look underneath for any leaks and excessively oily components. if all checks out, spend the few dollars and get it mechanically inspection including compression test, coolant test..alternator etc etc.
discolored/bubbling woodgrain is pretty much cosmetic and can probably be attributed to the high wear & tear the cruiser saw...
