birfield joint

heyy ya'll, got a quick little question for ya'll. If any of yall are familiar with the strait axle birfield joint, and have ever noticed differential coming from the joint itself, what needs to be replaced? I looked and looked over it and its not broke or cracked. any advice?

sounds like he;s leaking differential fluid from the birf? I know nothing about these other then were to find rebuild parts, so I don't know if that's even possible? I know they are supposed to get greased beyond belief right?

Bhahahahaha Are you kidding me?

I think he's just not familiar with Jibberish. Ain't nobody on here more knowledgeable on SAS/SFA then wabbit.

If you have a differential coming from out of the birf you got serious issues as I don't even think a differential would even fit down the axle tube to begin with. If it came loose you'd probably run it over with the back tires before it came out the birf.

After that remark, I'd e surprised if he even replies.

Diff fluid is supposed to be just that, in the diff.

Bad inner axle seals result in "pea soup"

Rebuild your knuckle.

I'ma go ahead and agree with wabbit, you should replace the inner axle seal and if you're gunna tear it apart that far, you may as well rebuild the whole thing.
Solid Axle Rebuild Guide
Wabbit's link to the FSM is also your friend. You will need a brass punch to deal with the cone washers, best price on them I have found is at NAPA Auto.

I just like how some newbies come on here and disrespect people that know more about these trucks than they ever will.

Just keep in mind that if you proof read your sentences and use a little grammar, you will get much more helpful responses. Good luck.

I tried to fix your pic link, but it was a no go.
you can't just copy and paste a file name from your drive.
upload your pics to a free hosting service like photobucket.com
than copy and paste the [img] code (it will be just to the right or below your pic as you scroll over the thumbnail in your photobucket album)
