Big lift with busted CV - Need help

I am new to the 4runner world and have just found out my 2001 4runner has a broken axle. The part that seems broke is what goes into the back side of the manual (Warn) locking hub. I bought the truck recently from someone who already had lifted it (6in suspension, 3in body, 2in spacers). My question is, what axle do I order for a 2001 4runner that has been converted to Warn manual locking hubs? I've been searching for a while now and haven't found an exact answer to this. Any help would be appreciated.

Should be the same as stock... on that truck more than likely the factory drive flanges were just replaced with a manual hub...

False. No such thing as drive flanges on a 3rd gen 4runner. The splines on the outter end of the axle are way different. Add axles have straight splines with a 36mm nut and cotter pin and manual hub axles have c clips on the end. Huge difference.

OP, you need an axle from a 95.5-00 Tacoma that came stock with manual hubs.

Stacking lifts like the PO of your truck did is dangerous. You should remove the spacer lift and the body lift. How's the rear end lifted?

Stacking lifts is not dangerous if installed correctly and maintained. I have seen several trucks with a body lift, suspension lift, and sometimes spacers (including my own truck), and it poses no safety issue. (again assuming the lifts were installed correctly and properly maintained.)

I'll have to do some more digging on the differences on CV shafts...

EDIT: you are correct on the shafts scuba.

I took a look and did some more digging... looks like the main component difference between the OP's setup (similar to a Taco), and the stock 4runner is the wheel bearing/hub assembly, the CV shaft out end, and then the necessary hardware including a lockout hub... good to know!

It sure sounds like you have a broken CV in the first place becuase you have too much suspension lift (w/ the spacers too). What lift do you have? What kind of spacers? 3" on a 3rd gen is the max you can go in the front without busting CVs left and right.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the help. I bought the truck to get around to some of the nice beaches here in Hawaii but I probably shouldn't of gone with something this high. It looks good as the PO kept it clean. Here is a pic of it.

HOLY COW! You get the award for the biggest IFS 3rd gen lift I've ever seen (or heard of for that matter). That's gives overkill a new meaning! There's no wonder why you're blowing CVs, that crap needs to come off. Post some pics of the CV angles for us.

skillz all that lift is overkill. Not only overkill, but as scuba said.. its way too dangerous. I'm sure the suspension is begging for help.

atleast the previous owner installed manual hubs so the CV's weren't constantly turning..

As scuba said, everybody has differing opinions on stacking lifts...that's irrelevant now.

OP, I say remove the body lift and spacer lift and see how she sits.
That will help a LOT.

That thing is WAY too tall right now, I bet it rides like crap and doubt it would even do that well on the beaches...

Yes. That truck is working against itself. Those of us with 3" of suspension lift would outwheel that truck in every situation because of the off the charts COG.
