You also have to do something about the power antenna. The most popular thing to do is to pull the power antenna out and replace it with a non-electric assembly and a whip style antenna. I read one other thing where a guy flipped his power antenna around or something. I pulled out that crappy electric antenna assembly and went with the Tacoma whip antenna. Works great for me. Antenna Assembly is part number 86300-35090, Tacoma Whip antenna part number is 86309-AA040. The antenna assembly comes with a silver antenna so you don't need the tacoma whip unless you want a black whip antenna.
(Good Thread for Whip Antenna info)
Other than that, it fits right up and it didn't seem much different than other snorkel installs.
EDIT: Here is a sweet page on it form ExpeditionsWest...some awesome info here: http://www.expeditionswest.com/equip...a/snorkel.html

Shamelessly stole the base img from that ExpeditionsWest page and added some extra detail. The part rectangled in red is the Taco intake tube being referenced.

Want to do a Snorkel on my wife's 2001 Limited if I get the parts today (Antenna and Tube). Will call dealer and see if they have the parts... Is that everything I need to do an install, Antenna assy and Taco tube?

Called the dealer. Bad news for me. Tacoma tube is only shows at California warehouse and only in few numbers. It will take about a week to get it. Antenna parts ordered and should show up tomorrow afternoon. At leas one good news, but it doesn't help with overall situation as Snorkel can't be installed without a tube.

I have to wait till tube shows up, which is mid next week, then it's probably going to be on th eweekend if weather permits. I hope I'd be able to do it on March 27-28 weekend which is the weekend after.
Snorkel is in my basement for over 3 month now, but I never thought I'd need that Taco tube.

I got a tube yesterday night. Wow, dealer was fast, but have an issue. I have Saturday 10am-2pm = 4hours as I have a meeting at 3pm and Sunday is a full day rain. Question is is 4hr enough to do the install from start to finish??? Or should I just wait for a next weekend?

Good news.
I've done it yesterday after work!!!
Took me 3.5 hr including swapping the antenna, but not routing new cable inside the cabin to the radio. Should be another 30 minutes or so.
I'll start a new thread about install as I made allot of pictures to post up full write up.
