Unhappy 3vze Dash Pot Cracked

So last Saturday I cleaned my throttle body and all was good. I drove it around on and off that day, no problems. So a week later today I know have a high idle when warmed up.

Idles fluxuates between 1250 & 1700 so I checked first thing for vacumn leaks, didn't find any Tried to adjust idle and screw is now turned all the way in.So reading other threads and FSM I checked the Dash Pot and pulled cover off and its cracked pretty good.

Could this be the reason for high idle? Im kinda lost as all I did was just clean throttle body. Any help is always appreciated. Thanks

Remove the idle speed adjusting screw. Then remove the o-ring from it. Replace the o-ring. Then replace the idle speed adjusting screw. Then re-adjust the idle speed.

No, it's not the dashpot, unless it's holding the throttle open when it shouldn't be. Which you could check by manually closing the throttle(over-riding the dashpot if it's pushing on it) at idle and seeing if it's being held open by it. It should be closed all the way/pushing it closed shouldn't be possible.

I Pulled out the Idle screw and its real dirty guess I didn't do such a good job cleaning throttle body. Anyway off to get an o-ring.

Well I replaced o-ring on idle adj screw and set idle, problem solved idles between 800 & 900. Just for kicks I stoped by my local toyota dealer to see if they had o-ring. He said they dont even sell a new idle adj screw. You have to buy a new throttle body assembly.
I laughed and left. Wow I spent thirty cents at my local auto parts store. Fixed! Thanks for the help I really appreciate it.
