OEM is sitting on top of my 22R right now, but it is very dirty and probably needs to get replaced; I was thinking about getting a K&N but my truck lives where road dust is common-place (rural roads <3) and since I've got a snorkel to put on I am worried that a K&N won't filter out enough of the finer dust that makes it up to the level of the air ram. Would I need to get a pre-cleaner if I were to use a K&N considering the dusty conditions?
On the few paved roads around my farm they are fond of the tar and rock chip resurfacing method, only it seems like they use more rock chips and less tar every year, sometimes the chips fly really high and I am also worried that I could wreck a filter if one flew into the snorkel.
