Volvo electric fan install

Sorry for the thread revival guys
motoracer:
Did you ever get this fan running right? or at all?
When you are talking about 3rd and 2nd gens in here, are you talking about 4runners? or trucks? Just curious (my truck is a '93, so 3rd gen depending on who you talk to)
Did you install this on your rig, and if so how did it work out? towing? in town? stop and go traffic? etc. etc. any details are appriciated
I've been looking to go with an electric fan for a while, and wasn't too keen on paying $$$ for a flexi-crap, or putting anything from a ford on my toyota (not that Volvo or whoever owns them now is any better)
Sorry guys, I'm not a purist, just picky.
Here is the write up thread for this mod for anyone too lazy to search:

LOL...sorry to re-bring this back up from the dead...
It runs great/2nd gen 4runners, but should be the same for trucks/Yes, on my rig/read below for how its worked out.
Yea, it works great. Ive run the vehicle under a bunch of different conditions from 15-115F,and it works awesome! With this mod and the manual hub conversion--(I leave the fronts undone) I have picked up a good mile per gallon. I know that does not sound like much, but: 15k @ 17mpg is 882 gallons of fuel, 15K @ 18 is 833= 49 gallon savings @average $2.60 gallon= $127.40 for 15K mile..more realistic yearly mileage for average person. I have put 27K miles or so on it since the mod, so it has saved me around $230 bucks..and cost me about $150. Anyone thinking of doing this should go for it..its worth it.
