7M-GE & 3VZ-E

I've only heard of 2 sizes. Like I said though, I have no way of verifying that. The 7M-GE is the same size for all I know.

3vz-e AFM is not too small - proven via math!

What would be the point of changeing meters unless you changed the need air volume i.e. supercharger or big cams.

I would think it would make the biggest impact at wide open throttle, only because of the immediate availability of air volume. So that should net you a snappier throttle response. I am just talking out of my... i have no real proof.

Good question.

Keyword: Volumetric Efficiency

If you haven't modified it from stock significantly. You won't gain much, if anything. Any power gains from increased air flow would likely only be in the mid-high rpm range anyways even if you did modify it.

Airflow vs HP

Engine airflow can be directly related to hp developed. The volumetric efficiency of an engine is always the highest at its torque peak. Above this rpm, pumping efficiency drops off.
The whole AFM swap thing for these engines is pretty much a joke to me. And some who've done it. Not to to say I never would. What I mean to say is, it would be one of the last things on the list of things I'd do to a 22R-E or 3VZ-E to make more power. I do however, as Toysrme also suggests, recommend tuning the A/F ratio with the stock AFM and advancing the initial/base ignition timing on the stock/nearly stock 3VZ-E. There's your throttle response and low-high rpm power gains right there. Cheap and easy. WORKS FOR ME!

I did my research FIRST too, as usual...
