Power steering shaft leaking

I've got '94 4runner 3vze 4WD A/T

After a exhaustive search for my power steering leak using UV dye and duct taping little cup shapes under likely leak points I found that the leak is coming from what looks like the bearing for the main shaft - right behind the PS pulley. I just bought this pump from Oreilly's and its annoying that its leaking since I never touched the shaft or bearing - it came pre installed. What are my options? Is it possible to fix this leaky bearing/shaft with this seal kit?

I'm a little nervous to open up the pump - should I be? Has anyone done this before and got tips?

If you just got the pump from O'Reilly, I would see about having them do a warranty exchange. Most of them have lifetime warranties.
