good deal....the install instructions that come with the Aussie kind of suck (except for the tolerance parts be sure to record those or no warranty) I would check out some of zuk's write ups at http://gearinstalls.com/aussielocker09.htmI printed one and it made life in the garage easier...
just make sure you got the correct one:
this:
and not the one they originally sent me:

I'm so flippin angry. First I broke 9 punches and 4 drill bits trying to get the dowel pin that holds the center pin out, and I still haven't gotten it out. Probably fubar'd the carrier bearings from wailing on that pin on the concrete floor.
And I'm pretty sure my rear axle, axel shafts, and bearings are toast. My truck fell of the jack stands with the tires still attached the shafts still stuck in the axel (only thing that kept the truck from falling on me). Now that thin inner metal tube or w/e it is that sits inside the axle close to the 3rd, is all loose and probably fubar'd.
Sooo angry. Animals are gonna be dying tonight.

Dude, stop for the day! Shut it all down, go find something else to do. Calm down, and give everything a go this weekend, from a different approach.

That, I dunno my friend, but things won't look so bad to you after you've cool'd off. And with a fresh perspective on things, maybe things won't be/look as bad as they would if you continue trying to muscle things, while bieng pissed off. Ya know? Now, go kill something.....and not yourself!!!!! lol

Don't dispair, those bearing are tough, just don't get too much crap in there.

Ok well I took a week long cool-down time away from the yoter. Took it to my buddy John at Americana Offroad. Made a chisel, heated it up with the oxy torch, and out the pin came.
Bout to start gettin it done. Maybe. I've put it off for a week, what's another day or so... Lol

And as soon as I throw it all together, the ST2 is getting a flatbed made. Guess who now has access to another offroading shop with all that tube bender, mandrel, plasma cutters, oxy torch, welders, and hydraulic truck lift goodness again!

not ever a good idea though to let the weight of the axles rest on the bearing/seals I always end up having a leak a few months down the road...But in your case it saved bodily arm. Good deal
I ended up making this little jig thingy to hold my third...made working on it easier since the wife refused to get greasy
Hope the animal sacrifice went well
