That`s about it!
Might sound like a dumb question but injectors any good brands you'd recommend? ISR mod ill have to research that

i wanted enough data to review before posting about gas mileage. soooo.

i've now put over 1,600 miles on my 87 runner (22re, manual 5-speed, 30x9.5s)

i've consistently been getting 21 to 23 mpg, and i've verified my odometer reads correctly (on a few measured mile sections). so far as i can tell, other than the slightly larger tires, the rest of the vehicle is stock, and most of the mechanical parts are probably original (98,xxx miles). i believe it still has the original plug wires in it.

i go 60 on the interstate max, but the mileage has been from "mixed" rural driving - plenty of 30 to 35, 40 to 50, in town. i'm pretty happy with those numbers, not a huge dropoff from my '95 legacy, which was 25 to 30 mpg (best tank was 33 mpg)

key is not to be running at 3K, keep it around 2200 to 2500. don't put the pedal to the metal all the time. it can be done. most recent fill-up was at 340 miles on the tank, and i only put 15.2 gallons in. i know i can drive it until i can put 16.5 in it, since i've already done that.
