Here's an update. checked the compression and timing, timing good -compression bad. very low on entire right bank. one cylinder on left bank was good. I've had intake valve problems in the past where the intake valve distorted at the seat area and eliminated all the lash causing the valve not to close properly. we put hardened valves in the heads to remedy this but I think it's happening again. Not sure if this is related to my starting problems or it's compounding another problem, but it needs addressed. Damnit. Again Thank You All for your input.

The cam and ignition timing was dead on, but I have no valve lash on any of the intake valves. Exhausts are fine. So they are off to the machine shop.

What a suspenseful thread. I hope you get your head fixed and it works.
But the whole yellow spark deal is still lingering. As I pulled my engine out I realized this car has grounding wires everywhere. Maybe somewhere along the path there is a bad connection in a grounding wire?? I would remove these wires, clean the mating surfaces and reconnect. It's just better to do these simple things just in case.
Hope this gets solved soon!

Update. My truck lives!!! I finally got it back together and it started right up. I had a case of sunken valves which eliminated my intake valve lash, which drastically lowered my compression. During the work I also replace the fuel filter and spark plugs, and gaskets of course. The machine shop thought the sunken valve problem is caused by to lean condition. Any thoughts on that theory? I don't now how to richen it up if that is the case. Again I thank all of you for your help.
