LC Engineering Exhaust
Wanted to know how hard this exhaust setup is to put on? I have read that alot of peeps like it, what would anyone recommend as far as a muffler on this setup. I dont want a ricey sound, want a mellow sound if possible. Can someone give me their take?
Thanks

gusseing you have a 22re install is pretty simple undo a few bolts and ur done i would go to a exhaust shop have a 2.25'' cat back bent up and for mufflers go with magnaflow loud go with a 14'' not as loud 18'' and almost like stock 24''

I am seeing a whole kit from LC that has the pipe all the way back, i would just need to get a cat and muffler from what i can tell. Yes it is the 22RE.

The exhaust kit that I see on the LC page has a muffler with it, and they sell the cat that bolts up too... but its not cheap at all. And usually requires small modificatoins to fit, and hangs very low. IMO get a LC header, carsound (magnaflow) 2.25" universal cat, and muffler of your choise, I prefer Flowmaster 60 series, and have a shop install the exhaust with custom bends... it will be cheaper and fit better. Their header is top notch... I have the setup I mentioned.

yes but to see the best gain is from a new 2.25'' cat back ... my 22re i had a modded air box car sound hiflow cat and a 2.25'' exhaust to a flowmaster delta 40 it had plenty of power too much better than my 3.0 i had

Thats a header, not an exhaust kit... so no. When you said exhaust setup I assumed you were looking at the cat back portion.
In theory yes, but most people end up having to tweak the connectior pipe between the header and cat. Mine would have required some good tweaking, but I didnt use the stock exhaust or the connecter pipe, was custom from the header back.
Like Elton said, decent header... HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE... cant beat the LCE header IMO.
