Keyfob
I have a 90 4runner with a factory or dealer installed alarm and I was hopeing someone could give me instruction on how to progam a new key fob for it.

it is from toyota security, the origional keyfob says toyota, the valet button says toyota, the brain is under the factory carpet under the drivers seat, when it goes off it honks the factory horn the dealer will program it for 100 bux, and id rather not pay them.

its a TVSS (Toyota Vehicle Security System) ,Locate a small hole in the ECU, turn the key on to run, engine off and push the button in till the status monitor goes steady on, within 4 seconds, push the button on the transmitter, the horn will sound when it has acknowledged it. PS, newer RS 3000 transitters will replace the TVSS ones and are much more durable. ;-)
On my truck this TVSS ECU was located on the passanger side behind the glovebox.

cool. > not sure what the heck that is under my carpet, probably a relay box or something (have to have the seat out one of these days just to take a look.)
