The "power wire"? What's that? (for that matter, what does "dead" mean?)

Let's assume you were using a multimeter. Let's assume you removed the dome light bulb, and checked BOTH SIDES of the contacts to GROUND (not to each other). Let's assume you got zero volts to ground on each contact. In '93 on (at least, probably much farther back, but you didn't tell us what year you have) the dome light socket is connected to battery all the time, and it the switch connects it to ground to light it. The wire that should be battery voltage all the time is black (one of the few single-color wires) to the Integration Relay. That's where to look.

interior dome light issue toyota pickup 1990 3vze

first of all thanks for the answer , i will try to be more specific, my truck is a toyota pickup 1990 v6 3vze. i removed all domes.

the first one with 1 mirror with 2 bulbs (it is not working)

and the second one ( it is working)

i checked voltage with multimeter the first dome conector (ground reference in one multimeter contact)

left side (red and white ) right side (red and green)

1 scenario with dome number 2 connected (off position) and closed doors:

RW wire has 240mv
RG wire has 50mv

2 scenario with dome number 2 connected (off position) and open doors:
RW wire has 20mv
RG wire has 26mv

3 scenario with dome number 2 connected (on position) and closed doors:
RW wire has 200mv
RG wire has 230mv

4 scenario dome number 2 connected (on position) and open doors:
RW wire has 30.6mv
RG wire has -330mv

5 scenario dome number 2 connected (door position) and closed doors:
RW wire has 12.55v (battery voltage i supposed)
RG wire has -80mv

6 scenario dome number 2 connected (door position) and open doors:
RW wire has .905v (almost 1 volt :S)
RG wire has 30mv

i am really lost because i cant see electric diagram of both dome lights only one is shown into FSM

any idea, help or blessing would be cool thanks in advance again.
