Picked up some 7/16 bolts and nylock nuts today. The 3/8 bolts seemed a lot smaller than what came out of there. Hope to get the new one in later this week.
Thanks for all of the help.

I finally got it the new one back in today. Went pretty smooth.
How much oil does the front diff hold? I put a little over 1.5 quarts before it started spilling out.
Thanks for all of the help.

I went with 1" because I was concerned about clearance issues between the bolt on the flange and the diff housing, this way the bolt didn't stick out past the nut.

Just to confirm you used 7/16" x 1" bolts for this? Because I have seen some people say to use a 1/2" bolt.

I wonder if the ones using the 1/2" bolts are drilling out the splines in the stub shafts. I bet with out the splines the 1/2" would fit through both sides? In the process of doing this, debating on if I want to switch the bolts out. I just got to get off my butt and start fitting bolts. lol.

I have a front end with an Aussie locker and 4.88 gears sitting on the garage floor waiting for a rear end with a 4.88. So I'm subscribing.

FYI, 7/16"(11.1125mm) is much closer to the size of the studs(12mm) than 3/8"(9.525mm). But 1/2"(12.7mm)is even closer.

Well obviously haha, but in reality its just a waste of time and drill bits to make 1/2" bolts fit, just use 7/16". If you broke them I'd be impressed
