Bleeder, nice job! I did this on a '99 Ford I used to have. Fun story: using a cheater bar on a breaker bar, trying to unseat the lower ball joints. I'm leaning into it (rather than pulling, 'cause I'm that smart) and the breaker bar snaps! Picture a full grown man on a knee in his driveway gasping for air after the cheater bar made enemies with his ribs.

Moral: I understand your pain with the thumb thing. Bet your thumb wasn't hurting at 80mph with smooth ride and steering, though! Hey, you wanted to be called Superbleeder. Live up to it.

If you don't have a shop manual, you deffiantely need to get one! I like the Haynes manuals or if you can score a Factory Service Manual even better. If you search around on here, you can find links to online manuals too.

There's lots of info on here for do's and don'ts!

DON'T smash your thumb with a hammer intentionally!! It'll only hurt worse than if it were accidentally!!!

hey this is a great thread - randomly (or not), i'm planning on rebuilding ALL the suspension on the underside of my '94, and fixing the rust while it's off. the parts list is especially helpful. could you post links to where you got all of that stuff?

*I picked up a whole kit a while ago that included all 4 tie rod ends, all 4 ball joints, idler arm, and pitman arm, from an internet source.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TOYOT...Q5fAccessories

*I ordered in new tie rod end connector sleeves to go with the new tie rods from Advance Auto Parts

*All 4 new shocks, Monroe Sensa-Track's, Advance Auto Parts

*Both CV's, brand new not remanufactured with lifetime wanrantee, from Advance Auto Parts

*Steering Stabilizer, also Monroe, also bought at Advance Auto Parts

As a matter of fact...

Sorry if I'm not used to being listened to, I've only been single for a little while. Still adjusting. Alzheimer's doesn't help.

the production date should be on the sticker in the door jam, if it's not faded out

so long as you have IFS though, you should be good to go!
