Take a look at the cruiser control module, it's a vaccuum module that pulls on a secondary throttle cam and cable.
You could easily modify one of those to make a hand throttle.

Thanks for the advice, but I did already say that I do not want the bicycle shifter. Yes I could modify an LC control module, but it makes more since to me to integrate the OEM kit for my truck into my truck. Like i said, I want a clean factory look.

Exactly, that's why I thought I may be able to find someone that has done this.

Thanks for the info on 89Silverpu's kit. However, I did search for hours. I came across his kit, and others. I decided I would prefer to integrate the throttle control that was OEM on diesel trucks of the same generation, and not a bike shifter type kit (as stated in my original post). I know what I want, I'm just looking to see if anyone has done it before. Seems like someone would of, but nothing has come up in a search, so yes i revived a 5 year old post on the subject. I am a newb, and tried my darndest to abide by Yotatech rules. I'm always amazed evertime I get on this forum at the wealth of information available. I spent hours looking through hand throttle options. I've decided what I want, and was about to place my order and decided, why not ask to see if anyone ever actually tried it this way before. I'm sorry if my post bothers you, just looking for an answer I was unable to find here or anywhere else.

It doesn't bother me, however, starting a new thread REFERENCING what you had found and possibly listing the links you had discovered would have benefited then NEXT guy searching for the same thing and BAM! one stop shopping.

Honestly, I like my bike cable shifter because it clicks each position and is on the shifter. Some may prefer, like on the Land Cruisers, it be off the lower dash valance.

On the other hand, a choke style cable could be better IMO. Pull out, push in that holds propotional positions throughout its stroke range. Of course, the right bracketry would have to be installed to provide the right amount of cable travel.

Good, luck with your project, add it to your build thread or add to the Fab thread group...or not!
