it may not rev up, the speed may lower.
anyways, if that didn't reveal any leaks, maybe the air valve below the throttle body is stuck open. it raises the idle when the engine is cold.

Yeah....as popular as that little carb cleaner trick is, it doesn't always work. Honestly, it never has for me. The only sure fire way I've found is visual inspection or one of the fancy smoke machines. The machine slightly pressurizes the inside of the engine through a small vac hose and fills the entire thing with smoke. It will find vacuum leaks!
I think Kirk may be right on the vac leak thing. Get it checked out.

come to find out my back injector was bad, and had low compression in the back cylinder. i was told it was a burnt intake valve. time to dump more money in it.
