Carburetor Rebuild Time
#21
Well just did mine Sunday and am still having problems but the kit from autozone was nice now if I could just get it to idle smooth and stop stumbling on acceleration. Kinda half ass it was in a hurry.

continuing...
Aux. Pump assembly:This is responsible for feeding a little extra fuel on a cold engine. Mine was busted and leaked fuel into the vacuum lines which caused some problems.
Here's all the parts that go into it: cover, screws, spring, & a new diaphram
Don't over tighten the screws.
Next, we have the accelerator pump..
The kit provides two boots, but you will only use one. Make sure it seats fully.
Then, feed the new diaphragm through. It'll be a tight fit and little hard to get in.
Fight the spring to stay put and button it back up...
Fuel window: Get this clean, that way u can see your fuel level
Main Jet Plug along with new seal.

Sure thing, no problemo!
Good Luck!! This was my first try too, its not as hard as it looks! Just make sure the kit has the main parts above, the more the merrier, lol. Make sure to post your results!! Or if you feel like it; contribute to this thread!!
