I've been camping annually once or twice for 2 days at a clip in the back of my 1st gen for 15 years now. Tents...Blah. I just put a thin 1" foam mattress topper (those ones that look like eggshells) under the carpet when I replaced it back then. That and a decent sleeping bag is all I ever needed. Plus it is always there when needed. You can't even tell from looking at it or I would post some picts. Oh and I'm 6'1" 210. And I have had a lady friend back there on more than one occasion. Being drunk most of those times probably helped as well.
